The Three Musketeers

A long time ago I decided to get a racoon, coincidentally I ended up adopting a kitten found by MP style – phone “You want a racoon, right?”, “Yeah”, “Hey, we found a kitten, do you want to adopt it?”, “I’m on my way”. Unfortunately, in the spring of 2022, Mr. Olaf Odinson decided to join the big hunt with Hirsin, and left me behind. I spent some time deciding, yes, no, do I want, don’t I want, looking at different kennels, until I came across Nile Godess, CZ and Mr. Xavier.
Of course, when I saw the date of birth, it was clear, I must at least check him out. It was a family trip to have an expert jury, and what can we say. Like the others I went head first into the cat paradise, on the stairs claws armed guard (Tootsie?), Joli smiling, she showed us around, all nicely divided, here are the spunts, here are the big spunts, here are the ladies, here are the gentlemen, this is Eddie.. digression.. Eddie is absolutely divine, actually the most divine cat I have ever scratched. Then, of course, Mr. Xavier’s check. When I saw the desperate ball with ears sticking out of it and two or four kilometres of limbs, it was all set and decided, Xavier is a partner by the looks of it. The rest of the crew took a liking to Mr. Tyson, he was a mammy, a cuddler, a gossip model, and also hilarious.
The next visit was for a ride home, it stretched for almost 4 hours, Joli gave great advice on how to prepare at home, what to bring. The handover itself was professional too, she explained what all was needed, we practiced the basics, scrunch, comb, powder, lipstick, ears, eyes, just everything from A to Z. I didn’t even think it took that long. Among other things, Joli pointed out to me that Maines are social, and since I live alone, it would be better to have two cats.
Well, one or two, if that. A month or two to acclimate Xavi, and then I’ll choose. I don’t. I’ve been assigned Mr. Tyson, and I’m very happy. So in the next round, Mr. Tyson moved in. Joli, of course, gave advice, helped again. Actually, to this day, whenever there’s something I need or don’t know, just get in touch. For me, she’s second to none for taking an interest in the offspring, even when they go out into the world. A lot of owners are in contact with Joli on FB, messenger or otherwise, because her support in breeding is really an advantage.
So how does it look now? We’re three musketeers, I don’t know what sleep is anymore because the tiger and tiger don’t care if it’s 2am or 2pm, if they want to play we’ll play. I’m running out of dishes to break, but I’m a man, a steel dog bowl will do. Indoor blinds are an unnecessary luxury, if Mr. Tyson is going to look out the window, he looks out the window. Sheepskins are no longer mine, and I’m as happy as two grapefruits.
